How the God of War Loves
Matsumoto Jun/Ishihara Satomi/Ohno Satoshi
[livejournal.com profile] tinyangl, 983 words
Prompt: ohno/satomi/jun, pretty down to your bones from [livejournal.com profile] sinonymity. Written here originally.

Jun enjoys the rush that war brings—it sets his blood racing, it makes his mind sharper, and all his nerves come alive with anticipation. During the earlier years, when him and Satomi were nothing more than a secret hidden behind closets and under covers, he used their relationship as a way to curb his need to feel that rush because it would come often and would never leave until he fulfilled it somehow.

As the years went by, the gradual intensifying wars were able to abate his thirst for more wars, the destruction and passion lingers in his thoughts, able to be conjured up whenever he wished. Even without big world wars, there were always mini-ones that could occupy his time. So Jun was satisfied most of the time, but he could never give up his relationship with Satomi. He realized that there was a difference in the fire he associated with war and the fire he felt when he was with her.

Which is why instead of having cut it off years and decades and centuries ago, he still finds himself back under covers with Satomi pressed up against his side, bare skin against bare skin.

Jun knows it's a bad idea, has heard as such from everyone with an opinion, but when he sees her—bright eyes, plump lips, flushed cheeks, flawless skin—he can't help but want her, all of her. He drowns in his feelings for her, wondering and wondering how he got to a point where all he wants is her. She's one of the foremost thoughts that lingers behind every word, every action, everything that is Jun.

Ohno is a new addition though. If Jun was ever asked to pinpoint when and where his feelings for Ohno came from, he wouldn't be able to reply. All he remembers is the gradual progression of Satomi's feelings for Ohno, from something of disdain at being forced to marry him—a man she had never met nor had any affection for—to something of admiration as she spent time with him to actual love. He can remember that clearly, because despite popular belief, Satomi and Jun often spoke about things, about feelings—it hadn't been just a one night of passion that happened again and again.

But he can't remember when Ohno became someone more to him than the God who repaired his weapons. He can't remember an exact time when he saw Ohno face-to-face and thought I love him. He can't remember when his feelings for Ohno rivaled those that he had for Satomi, which was a crazy thought because he still loved her for so long and for him to bring another person into that equation and so quickly was something that was incomprehensible to Jun.

Jun does remember other things though: the first time he told Ohno he felt something for him—the way Ohno's eyes had mutely lit up (because Ohno rarely shows all his emotions on the surface); the first time they had kissed—and without Satomi there to see it; the first time Jun had really looked at Ohno and felt his heart skip—which was an embarrassing enough thought for the God of War.

He wouldn't trade any of this for anybody or anything.

"You're shockingly pensive after a night of passion," Satomi murmurs, a finger lazily trailing up his bare chest.

Jun chuckles, eyes closed from the reds and blacks that occupied his bedroom decor. "You say that way too often for someone who knows this about me."

Satomi shrugs against his side. "It just amazes me every time."

"I know I was surprised when you suddenly said that 'War is you, but isn't everything you do' one morning," Ohno sleepily contributes from Satomi's other side. Satomi suddenly giggles and Jun wonders what's going on in their side of the bed.

"Don't you find your mind the clearest afterwards?"

Satomi presses kisses down his arm before shifting onto her back. "Well, I find it to be rather clear during too." She giggles again, except it's more breathless and Jun opens his eyes to find Ohno had somehow moved without him feeling the bed shift and is hovering over Satomi, smiling down at her.

He angles an eyebrow at them. "Starting without me?"

"We were taking bets on how long it'd take you to realize," Ohno says, leaning over to kiss Jun except, because of the weird angles they were at, only ends up missing his lips and catching a bit of Jun's cheek to chin instead.

Jun groans, sitting up properly and putting his palms on Ohno's cheeks to properly get a kiss in. It's soft and slow and Jun melts into it. When he pulls away, his heart pounding in his chest, he looks down at Satomi who leans up on one elbow and tugs him towards her with the other hand. Their lips meet and Jun is always startled at how alike his feelings for Ohno and Satomi are, and yet how distinctly different it is—how he can tell who his partner is just by how different his heart beats in line for them.

"What was the popular bet?" Jun asks when he finally pulls back.

Satomi grins, pressing a brief kiss against his lips again. "I bet that it'd take a few minutes."

"I wanted to see if we could try without you noticing at all." The smirk on Ohno's face is one that Jun rarely sees and it makes him nearly choke in laughter.

"How kind," Jun drawls, reaching over to pat Ohno's bed hair down. Instead, somehow his hand reaches the crook of Ohno's neck and jerks him towards Jun, lips meeting again in a messier kiss. "You're developing a mean streak."

Ohno laughs, the trill of it echoing through Jun's body. "Well, something negative had to come from my interactions with you."

Jun grins. "I'll show you negative," he says before throwing himself into the pair. The squeal Satomi gives echoes in the room, before it's replaced by noises of a different kind.
